Guiding
Based out of Hill End in the foothills of Mount Baw Baw, West Gippsland, Victoria, a day on the water with Shane from Baw Baw Fly Fisher will see you in amongst stunning scenery, that at times will have you thinking you’re a million miles from anything. Some may say the area feels “prehistoric.”
The West Gippsland area is ridden with small creeks and streams, through to medium sized waters such as the Tanjil and Latrobe Rivers. Fishing these waters will see fly fishos coming across populations of beautiful wild brown and rainbow trout, that can vary in their size and looks. You just never know what you might find across these Gippsland waters.
Shane will guide you through a fun day which could see you fishing tiny 3 foot wide creeks, bow and arrow casting under trees and banks, through to full casts on a beautiful open river.
Shane caters for all levels from beginners through to experienced fly fisher’s, and will work with you in learning to cast a fly for the first time, work on stream craft or simply just guide you through a day on the water chasing stunning wild trout.

Day Pricing
One angler - $500
Two anglers - $700
Pricing includes 8hrs guided fishing, lunch, snacks and drinks, plus all equipment required including rod/reel, waders, boots and flies.
Half day
One angler - $350
Two anglers - $450
Pricing includes 4 hours guided fishing, drinks and snacks, plus all equipment required including rod/reel, waders, boots and flies.
If you have your own gear definitely bring it along!
A valid Victorian Fishing Licence is required for all persons between the age of 18 and 70. This is not included in the guided fishing price and should be purchased prior to your day on the water.
